Already in 1998, the Altstadt Vienna was, as the first organisation in Vienna, awarded with the Austrian Environmental Label for tourism.

The Altstadt Vienna is an ecologically-minded hotel which takes its responsibility for the environment very seriously. The hotel staff is dedicated to continually improving the efforts in this area, in hopes of leaving a healthier, more beautiful environment for today's as well as future generations.
