A hint of the erotic
Italian architect Matteo Thun allowed himself to be inspired by Vienna's famous prostitute Josefine Mutzenbacher and her times, creating 8 rooms and a suite for venturesome hours at the Altstadt Vienna.
The rooms are all kept in very dark tones, with parquet flooring made from stained oak and wallpaper in a dark Damask pattern providing a decorative element. This dark heaviness is refined through furniture upholstered in red satin and candelabras from Prague, evoking associations with the Vienna salons and their ostentatious receptions.
