Vienna-Tips from
Daniel Heinrich

The lively creative spirit always has a good joke to tell – and whenever he's not making our guests and us laugh at the reception desk, he's wandering through Vienna snapping great photos and videos for his and our Instagram account. Goes without saying, that he knows the best selfie spot in town. Get to know Vienna through Daniels eyes here:

Naturhistorisches Museum by Daniel Heinrich

Only in Vienna
Houses with a lot of history & city with village character, especially in the 7th district.

Better elsewhere

Your vice
It's wine o'clock & Sushi

Sweet Vienna
Chocolat au pain from Lamour du Pain
Cheescake and chocolate cake at Adlerhof

Hearty Vienna

In summer, dinner in the courtyard of the Hotel Brilliantengrund with the best Filipino specialities. Restaurant Bruder always surprises with new and unique creations. The best Falafel in town you get at the Naschmarkt. Miznon is a cosy, good and unusual restaurant in the first district. Disco Volante offers the best pizza in Vienna.

Chic Vienna

Typical Viennese dinner at the restaurant Skopik & Lohn  with a good glass of Austrian wine. A concert in the large Musikverein hall in the Musikvereinshaus.

When it gets dark

Stroll through the empty city and enjoy the special flair of the inner city. Even more special at Christmas time with the Christmas lights & punch.

Not mentioned in any tourist guide

Your favourite place

Schönbrunn Palace and the palace gardens - a must-see at any time of year to escape the big city.

Graben Wien by Daniel Heinrich
Schloss Schönbrunn by Daniel Heinrich

Must see
Weingärten - take the D trolley to the Beethovengang stop and start walking (but best not at weekends). The small alleys & passages directly behind St. Stephen's Cathedral let you immerse yourself in old Vienna (Blutgasse, Grünangergasse, Ballgasse).

Selfie Spot
All of Vienna is so photogenic - every corner offers new perspectives. Just take a stroll and discover. The best view of St. Stephen's Cathedral is from the Lamee Rooftop Terrace.

You can skip it, even though it's in the guide.
Viennese hustle and bustle on Mariahilferstraße

Finally: What do you love about the city?
The long and old canyons of houses. That you can reach "almost" everything on foot and always discover new corners, squares and alleyways.
