Word Rap on Vienna

Only in Vienna:

If you wish, you can already make your way up to the "Himmel" - a touch of heaven indeed:

wonderful views out across Vienna along with a magical atmosphere.

Better elsewhere:

365 days of sunshine and swimming in the sea in the morning

my Vices:

Vegan chocolate ice cream at Vidoni on the Landstrasse.

Sweet Vienna:

The best croissant in the city at the Kaffeeküche at the Schottentor, the best cinnamon ice cream at "de Rocco" ice salon on the Kutschkermarkt, and for a sweet treat in winter, there is nothing better than Eibensteiner's chocolate chestnuts (based on Währingerstrasse, but also at various patisseries city-wide).

Hearty Vienna:

You should absolutely go to Tian, home to the finest vegan-vegetarian cuisine, or for a quick snack to the Wiener Deewan - Pakistani pay-as-you-wish. Excellent Viennese-style in a vintage atmosphere just around the corner: the Wratschko.

Chic Vienna:

"If dogs run free" for a drink, WeBandits for shopping, or simply browse one of the many art shows at a fancy gallery.

After Dark:

Take in a live concert! Music fresh off the stage at the Porgy & Bess, WUK, the Arena, the Loop, B72... And in summer, open-air concerts at Swell Time in the Volksgarten Pavilion with dancing!

Not in any tourist guides

The authentic Viennese lifestyle in the city's outlying districts and in community housing.

My Favorite Spot

The Donaukanal: Urban Art Gallery, eatery district and outdoor recreation area in one - for walking, play, biking or simply relaxing.

The Leopold Museum, which tells so much about Vienna and Austria, and of course the Art History Museum, for the building alone as well as, of course, the Old Masters within.

Selfie Spot:

On the Donaukanal, in front of the most colorful graffiti in the entire city.

Something to skip, even if it's in the guide:

The "Original Sachertorte" – there are cakes that are more chocolaty, fluffier, tastier.

In conclusion: What do I love about the city?

The public spaces! Vienna offers so many open spaces and wonderful city oases for you to enjoy free of charge, (almost) all within walking distance and by bike - at all times of the day and night. Simply set out, keep your eyes peeled, and discover.
