The Austrian fashion designer about the charm of the city
What do you like about the area? Why are you in the 7th district?
As a hotspot for artists, creatives and young entrepreneurs, Neubau is still unique and therefore the ideal place for my showroom and work station.
What can one buy in your store? What is your passion behind it?
The fashion label FERRARI-ZÖCHLING is100% manufactured in Vienna.
Transperancy and fairness in the production line as well as high quality fabrics are very important to me. The focus is on the prints, that stem from collaborations with Austrian artists, such as Marianne Vlaschits, Raphaela Riepl, Lisa Edi and Hatschepsut Huss. Some of the artists’ work is displayed in the shop at Kirchengasse 27 and can be bought there.
Word Rap about Vienna
Only in Vienna:
Granteln, Spritzer, Charme. (not really translatable)
Better somewhere else:
The ocean, easiness, street life.
Sweet Vienna:
For my shows, I love the catering by Unbackbar.
My most favorite café at Karmelitermarkt in the 2nd district is called Fett und Zucker.
Hearty Vienna:
Restaurant Wrenkh.
When it get's dark:
Lazy life.
Not in any tourist guide:
Horror movie Wednesday in the Jahni. A Viennese-livingroom project. Only limited access.
Slash fantastic film festival.
Your most favorite place:
The „Filmcasino“ – an old cinema in the 5th district.
Must-see?
The cemetery of the nameless, the viennese courtyards, the view of Vienna from the Aqua Terra Zoo.
You can skip, although in the guide?
A ride with the horse carriage.
What do you love about the city?
The city has an ideal size. It’s large enough to discover something new from time to time, but small enough to not feel lost in it. Vienna has a very familiar atmosphere.
The pomp and decadence of the monarchy, the large socialist council housing buildings, modern art, old tradition, the proximity of nature,...Vienna combines all all that like no other city in the world.
