At Altstadt, guests find our delicious organic spreads at the breakfast buffet: from various sweet chocolate creams to aromatic nut creams to pure peanut butter made of 100% nuts. 

We started producing nut butters in 1974. At that time, we used a simple stone mill and manually bottled them, but today we use state-of-the-art technology. All our high-quality raw materials are carefully processed and come 100% from controlled organic cultivation from reliable partners or from our own projects.

Initially ridiculed as "mueslis", we are now one of the leading organic producers in Europe. We want to cultivate the earth in a way that it remains worth living for future generations. Organic farming is the key to achieving this goal. We are convinced that healthy and well-tolerated food can only be produced by people who are well off. 

Beyond organic fair cultivation, we want to make a real difference and have not only stood for sustainability since our beginnings, but also for global commitment, for example to organic seed breeding. 

Rapunzel has grown, but the idea has always remained the same over the years: to produce organic, natural and vegetarian food.
