Unsettling Idyll
How do you turn the bare entranceway of an apartment building into the calling card for the hotel of an art lover?
In cooperation with Helmuts Art Club, young Austrian artist Alex Ruthner and Russian artists' collective ZUK CLUB were commissioned to design the walls.
They created a reception area which prepares arriving guests marvelously for the "Altstadt Experience". Idyllic. At second glance, unsettling. In reference to the Red Salon, simultaneously flowery, historical and forward-looking.
