Hotel Altstadt Vienna is located directly in the artistic center of Vienna. The MuseumsQuartier, the former imperial residence Hofburg and one of the city's longest shopping streets, Mariahilfstraße, are only a few minutes' walk away. The trendy bars, restaurants and stores of the hip seventh district are literally on your doorstep.
No matter how you plan to arrive, this is the fastest way to get to us:
With public transportation
We are located 4 walking minutes from the subway station "U3 Volkstheater". Walk along "Burggasse" and find our street "Kirchengasse" on the right hand side. Or take the bus 13A and exit directly at the hotel, station "Kellermanngasse".
With the car
Via the Guertel (#221) to Burggasse (direction Zentrum = center) after the 4th traffic light into Kirchengasse. Just in front of the hotel there is a loading area where you can park your car in case you do not find a parking lot on the street.
We recommend the public garage in the Museumsquartier - approx. 7 minutes by foot from the hotel (Museumsplatz 1, 1070 Vienna) When you travelled with light bags you can go directly to the garage and enjoy a leisurely stroll to the hotel. If you prefer to drop off your luggage directly at the hotel, you can do so by parking in the public loading zone directly in front of the hotel entrance for 10 minutes. After checking in, you can park the car in the garage.
• Parking for 20,00 Euro per 24 hours - completely flexible: Take a ticket when you drive in and pay directly in the garage.
• Parking for 10,00 Euro per 24 hours: Take a ticket when you drive in, ask us for a blue parking card when you check out. In this case, you pay us directly when you check out. The only disadvantage: after exiting the garage, you have to return the blue parking card at the reception (approx. 7-10 minutes detour).
Parking on the street
Parking is free on weekends, but you have to look for a parking space yourself. Parking during the week is generally only permitted for up to 2 hours only - However, the hotel offers day parking permits for the seventh district for 15.00 Euro per day. A limited number of these permits are available at the reception.
