From the Airport

By train

At Vienna Airport, take the S-Bahn line 7 (S7) towards Wien Praterstern as far as Wien Mitte. From there, you can take a direct connection on the U-Bahn (line U3 towards Ottakring) to Volkstheater station. Leave the station via the Burggasse exit. From there, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the main entrance, which you’ll recognise by its red canopy. A warm welcome to Altstadt Vienna!

The S7 runs every 30 minutes, whilst the U3 runs every few minutes. You should allow around 45 minutes for the entire journey by public transport.

If you’ll be using public transport during your stay, it’s best to buy a day ticket or multi-day ticket for the Wiener Linien straight away. That way, you’ll only need to pay a small surcharge (1,80 Euros) when travelling outside the core zone.

By a private transfer

We’d be happy to organise an airport pick-up to ensure a quick and hassle-free journey. Please feel free to contact us by telephone or email. Please let us know your airline, flight number and exact arrival time.

Up to 3 people with a maximum of 3 pieces of luggage: 70,- Euros

Up to 8 people with luggage: 105,- Euros

By Taxi, Uber, Bolt

In Vienna, it’s easy to get around using Uber or Bolt. Taxis also run directly from the airport to the city centre. Prices vary depending on the time of day and demand.

By CAT (City Airport Train)

As well as the S7, the CAT (City Airport Train) also runs from the airport. The ticket is considerably more expensive, but you’ll reach Wien Mitte a few minutes sooner.

From the Main Train Station

By public transport

From the main station, simply take bus 13A, which will take you directly to the front door in about 20 minutes, getting off at the Kellermanngasse stop. The bus runs every few minutes. It’s best to buy a day ticket or multi-day ticket for the Wiener Linien straight away if you’ll be using public transport during your stay.

By car

Arrival

There is a public loading area directly in front of the building. If no other parking spaces are available, please park your car there on arrival. Please ensure you switch on your hazard warning lights and collect a 10-minute loading bay permit from reception so that you can check in without any hassle or drive straight into the car park.

Parking Garage

We recommend the public garage in the Museumsquartier - approx. 7 minutes by foot from the hotel (Museumsplatz 1, 1070 Vienna). Upon check-in, we’ll provide you with a blue parking card, which allows you to park at a discounted rate (25,- Euros per night). You can settle the parking fees with us at check-out. The only disadvantage: after exiting the garage, you have to return the blue parking card at the reception.

ATTENTION: Clearance hight is 1,90m.

No time for detours? Alternatively, you can also pull a ticket directly at the garage and pay for it at the regular rate at the machine. Or you let us take care of your car for an extra charge 15,- Euros. Please note that we provide Valet-Service only upon availability.

Parking on the street

Parking is free on weekends, but you have to find a parking space which is not always easy. During the week, the short-stay parking zone applies all day (9 am – 10 pm) for a maximum of 2 hours but you can avoid this by purchasing a day parking permit for 25,- euros per day. These day parking permits are available at reception, but there are a limited number available.

Travel Green

We’re all about sustainability, and we’d be delighted if you chose a sustainable way to get here. So much so that, upon presentation of your ticket (Wiener Linien or train ticket), we’d be happy to treat you to a drink in the Red Salon. 🥂 💚
