With MATR, the Vienna-based young entrepreneurs Michaela and Verena have dedicated themselves entirely to waste prevention in the mattress industry. And with their high-quality and recyclable mattresses, they also ensure a heavenly sleeping experience and sustainably good nights for our guests.

Our award-winning circular economy mattresses which are handmade with love using the highest quality materials, guaranteeing you a cozy and luxurious night of sleep. And, even better, our mattresses are made with fully recyclable materials which means you can sleep peacefully knowing you are helping us to put mattress waste to bed.
What is the passion behind your products?
It all started when we came across the shocking statistic that 30 million mattresses end up as waste in Europe every year, equivalent to 20,000 stacked Eiffel Towers. So we decided it was time to end this huge waste problem. That’s why MATR as born: the first mattress solution that embeds circular economy design, featuring a premium mattress made from just 2 high quality materials, a modular design and a product passport.

MATR mattresses never end up as waste and always go back into the material cycle, resulting in a carbon footprint 50% less than conventional mattresses. That’s why we like to say: together, let’s make sleep matter!
