Spending the Night in a Library

Vienna, since time immemorial home and place of attraction for poets, literary figures and philosophers. This forms the thematic experience framework of the Library Suite.

Two  old-fashioned double windows serve as a light magnet for the bright room. Vis à vis is the supporting element of the suite: a 6-meter-wide, floor-to-ceiling book wall with a walk-in gallery.The black steel and Ami walnut construction can be accessed through a spiral iron staircase - over 100 years old. The staircase was located on the lowest floor of the adjacent stairwell and became a victim of official requirements during the renovation work.  Lovingly adapted, it now serves as an ascent to the literature explorations of the Library Suite. A seating area with chaise longue and Eames Soft Pad Lounge Chair in the middle of the room invite to literary consumption of the books on offer. Surreal photography by Austrian artist Clemens Ascher makes one dream. Extensive collections for browsing and reading can also be found in our Lena Hoschek Suite #79 as well as Suite Privée #73.
