Tour #65
Theater Suite
A portal by artist Martina Mara Braun (* 1955) leads you into a suite that is spun along a thematic read thread. Designed by the Austrian architect Roland Nemetz, this suite is dedicated to the theatre. Not only because of its location - rehearsal spaces of the adjacent Off Theater are located in the courtyard. A built in bar stands opposite of a comfortable seating group by architect Roland Rainer and dates back to the 50s where it was originally bought for the iconic cafe Ritter.
A post-war desk by Soziales-Wohnen-Möbel reminds one of dressing tables as they could be found in theaters of the golden 20s; heavy red curtains and lamps by Tom Dixon finally transports the visitor into the glamorous world of show business.
