Eugenie
Arlt
Eugenie Arlt is a longtime acquaintance of the hotel with a sense for aesthetics. It was only a matter of time before she was asked to design a room in her favorite Viennese hotel.
The interior designer describes the Viennese style as a conglomerate of diverse influences. This impression is also conveyed in the room she designed - it impresses with its clever integration of elements from different design worlds. In addition to furniture by Gubi or lamps by Louis Poulsen, she mainly worked with Austrian producers. Fabrics from the traditional Kohlmaier upholstery company in Neubaugasse, wall paints from Galerie SO, a small Viennese paint factory in Esterhazygasse. For Arlt, the uniqueness of this city only reveals itself in the details.
The walls, a composition of "Ringeltaube" white, "Donauturm" gray and "Augarten" blue, are a tribute to Vienna's many idiosyncrasies, which often only reveal themselves upon closer inspection. This is also the case with the picture by the German painter Daniel M. Thurau (* 1974), which captures the view from the window onto the rooftop terrace, drawn during his stay.
In her most recent work for the Altstadt Vienna, the interior designer played a key role in the realization of actor Tobias Moretti's "Moretti Room".
